General Insurance and Financial Services
Far from being a ‘back room’ outfit, the finance teams at HBOS GI and HBOS FS act as business advisors to colleagues across the complete range of each business area’s activities.
We help the business to manage its risk and capital requirements effectively, understand its current and projected financial and sales performance and deliver its business plan. We also work closely with the finance teams within the Insurance & Investment division and HBOS Group.
I&I Finance
Our small Finance team acts as the co-ordinating link between the two major businesses within Insurance & Investment, HBOS General Insurance and HBOS Financial Services, and the management of HBOS Group.
This involves preparing consolidated accounts and management information from the detailed information provided by the businesses, managing the production of business plans and quarterly forecasts, monitoring performance in the market and analysing market trends.
We also help to present the division’s performance to the outside world by contributing to HBOS results announcements and working with Investor Relations.
